Welcome To Vennikulam Salem
The Salem Marthoma Church was established in Vennikulam as an after effect of the reformation taken place in the Malankara Sabha under the Abraham Malpan Achen. Ever after that, the people enlightened by the reformation worshiped in the St Bahanans Orthodox Church Vennikulam. But the people who believed in the reformation doctrines, through a minority left the Orthodox Church to form a Mar Thoma Community at Vennikulam. There were only 15 family filled with spiritual desire. The leader ofthe people was a very spiritual and saintly priest, who was dedicated to mission works as well as social service.
